Public Information Meetings
First Public Information Meeting - March 11, 2025
Crossroads is hosting its first Public Information meeting on March 11, 2025 from 5pm to 7pm at the American Legion, which is located at 307 Park St., Cardington, OH 43315. We hope to see you there!
What is a Public Information Meeting?
The Public Information Meetings (PIMs) are a required early step in the Ohio Power Siting Board (OPSB) process. Crossroads sends notices to all owners of property that (a) could potentially host a portion of the solar facility and (b) is adjacent to such properties about our Public Information Meetings.
This event is designed specifically for those who have questions or concerns about the proposed project. We encourage members of the community to attend, regardless of their position on solar development, and to take time to review the materials, engage with project personnel, and ask questions.
Each PIM is structured like an open house (a bit like a high school science fair) with informational displays spread throughout the room and experts on hand to answer questions. This means that while the event has a set start and end time, you can arrive at 5 or 6 or 6:45 and get the same information. There is no sit-down meeting or formal presentation. It is simply an opportunity to learn and engage at your own pace. OPSB Staff will be on hand to answer questions about the OPSB application process.
What Topics Are Being Covered?
The PIM is a preview of the Crossroads Solar Grazing Center application that will be submitted to the OPSB, so the content of the session is reflective of some of the key elements of the application in addition to information about how we plan to address many common concerns about solar and the project. In addition to the subjects covered at the various information stations, handouts will also be available. While this is not a town hall or large-format Q+A, these meetings are a great opportunity to ask questions of experts on a variety of topics at your own pace. Our team is always available for smaller group discussions, and we’re happy to come to any meeting to provide information on the project and process.
